Highlight for AI Generate Feature for Resumedone

Project Summary

In this project, I was challenged by my client to create a generative summary feature for a resume builder platform called Resumedone. This platform allows us to create resumes/CVs easily and quickly with the help of AI to deliver job listing needs with the skill requirements that users have. But the focus this time is on one feature, namely AI generates a summary of the user's CV. This feature allows the user to fill in the skillset that the user provides in the summary field and then AI will generate it so that the shape and order of the words will be well structured and form a perfect ATS pattern.

The challenge for this Feature

Stakeholders want features that are quick to develop so the design must adapt to the engineer's capabilities.

The accessibility of this feature should be easy to access so that users can find this feature without the need to learn how to use it.

The learning curve should have an easy level so that users do not need to analyze or use complicated prompts.

The solution I provided as a UI designer for this feature

The data used to make this decision is a discussion with stakeholders regarding how the button wants to be displayed, namely embedded in the long text field column of the summary with the title "Power Up with AI Phrases." with the assumption that it makes it easier for users to search for this feature after filling in the skillset summary on the CV.

Use of Popover to display suggested sentences

In this case, the stakeholder wants two possibilities:

1. Replace the entire suggested word

2. Adding a point for the summary experience of the user so that it forms a bullet point as an ATS-friendly resume requirement.

Popovers make it easy for users to recognize features that have been interacted with so that all menus are embedded from replacing to adding experience points.

Highlights for live preview in resume creation

CV live preview built right into resume creation

There is a live preview included in this resume builder in addition to the features mentioned above. This live preview updates in real-time according to the editing of the user. In line with creating a summary on the resume, if the sentence is generated using ai, especially in the bullet point make section, it will be updated in the live preview.
