Competitor engagement strategy.
The image above showcases an outreach plan created as part of a targeted competitor engagement strategy. The document details Twitter outreach efforts to key influencers and developers, highlighting individuals who are either already following or are potential followers of the tech monitoring platform being promoted. The goal was to increase brand visibility, engage with users who are interested in competitors, and foster a community around the brand's product. By identifying these key users and sending tailored outreach messages, the strategy aimed to encourage users to follow the brand and explore the unique offerings compared to competitors.
Community engagement strategy
This image above illustrates the community engagement strategy used to build awareness and interaction on social media platforms for the observability and DevOps niche. The strategy involved actively engaging with relevant posts through a combination of commenting and liking content across LinkedIn and Twitter. Each day, specific hashtags like #Observability, #Opentelemetry, and #DevOps were targeted to engage with content that aligned with the brand’s messaging and product offerings. By consistently engaging in meaningful conversations, the approach aimed to increase visibility within these communities and establish the brand as an active participant in the ecosystem. This engagement not only helped drive interactions with potential customers but also fostered relationships with key influencers in the space. The proactive commenting and liking strategy ensured that the brand was visible in conversations related to key industry terms, making it easier for users to discover the product and services through organic discussions. This consistent interaction contributed to sustained community growth and increased social engagement metrics.
Content Calendar
In this project, I designed and managed a detailed content plan for two monitoring and observability brands. The plan outlined a structured schedule across Twitter and LinkedIn for each brand, focusing on engaging content themes like industry education, webinars, FAQs, and blog posts. By ensuring that each content piece aligned with the brand's objectives, we utilized a mix of media types, including Canva banners and video clips, to present the topics effectively. The aim was to create informative yet engaging posts that cater to our target audience, from FAQs to deeper industry news. The content topics ranged from educating the audience on cloud observability to sharing helpful tools for profiling Rails apps, and ensuring that our posts resonated with both technical and decision-making audiences.
Learning Curve & Key Takeaways:
Throughout this project, I honed my ability to balance educational content with promotional messaging. I learned how to use a consistent content cadence to drive engagement, focusing on timely and relevant information. Another key learning point was the effective use of visual assets and webinars, which added value to our content strategy by driving higher engagement and interactions.
