I provided strategic planning and execution of internal and external communications for a sizeable corporate merger as part of a cross-functional Comms taskforce.
My task was primarily to advise on and create a wide range of comms materials, aiming to keep stakeholders at all levels engaged, informed, and aligned throughout the transition.
Key Contributions:
Strategy: Acted as an external consultant to advise on the communications strategy, helping to shape the underlying narrative and generating ideas and opportunities for engaging communications.
Content Development: Crafted a wide range of targeted communications materials, including press releases, official letters to local government officials, customers, and partners, content for internal townhall meetings, newsletters, and articles.
Executive Support: Created update letters from the new CEO, establishing his tone of voice across the company. Scripted a video for the executive leadership team, bringing the new company's vision to life and communicating updates to all company levels.
Employee Engagement: Wrote a employee newsletter dedicated to the merger and multiple articles for the intranet, keeping the global employee community well-informed and connected during this critical transition phase.
Digital Innovation: Designed and supported the deployment of a new employee intranet on SharePoint, aiming to inspire and drive the development of a new shared culture.
Impact: My work provided clarity for internal stakeholders, mitigating uncertainty and building a cohesive narrative around the merger, supporting both the company’s goals and employee's needs during a period of significant change.
