Analysing the potential for a Travel Business

One of the most important things when building a new product is figuring out the details and nuts and bolts about how the product should work, who's the target audience and how it will be monetised.

In this project, I helped:

  • Do detailed research about the existing market landscape
  • Developed multiple Operating Models to research for viability
  • Competitive Research and SWOT analysis
  • Helped develop a Financial Model of the proposed models
  • A case study of the proposed model

Market Research

I did a deep dive into the current market landscape of the travel industry in Nigeria. This helped give the client a complete understanding of the Nigerian landscape and the travel patterns of Nigerians,

Case Study

For the case study, I reviewed existing travel models from the top travel agencies in the country. This helped the client understand how their potential competitors operate.

Market Sizing & Financial Modeling

A key question before any investment is "is the market saturated", with the financial model and market sizing, I was able to demonstrate opportunities for the client to explore that were low hanging fruit.

SWOT Analysis & Operating Model Review

I helped do a deep dive into the proposed product and helped identify strengths and weaknesses to ensure success.
