The Golden Hop Brewery is a small, local establishment that offers handmade, artisan beer and quality food to its many guests.

They aim not to just be a place to eat and drink, but one to create lasting memories and forge friendships. To create a cozy home for people looking to have fun and enjoy their time with their friends.

The aim was to create something traditional and familiar, that people can associate with instantly, while keeping with classic marks of a brewery's visual style one might expect.

The logomark consists of a hop, whose stem was converted into a palmtree, and the upper layer into a landscape and sunshine. This was my way of integrating the golden aspect of the name, making people instantly think of sunbathed, rigorously hand picked plants and maximum quality. At the same time, it is a clean, minimal take on the familiar hop imagery.

Font choice was an old-style Serif headline, with a chunkier, more modern Serif to accompany it. This gives much of the brand's traditional vibe, along with the earthy and golden browns and yellows, playing both into the brewery visual (plants, barrels, pubs ,etc..) and the sunshine referenced earlier.

Part of the work was also to create some package designs, as the establishment was looking to create and market their own brand of beer, albeit in small quantities.

My aim in creating the bottle's design was to accentuate the premium, high quality nature of the brand, and make that reflect in the package with the use of golden foil, clean aesthetic, satin surface and a general distinguished feel.
