"50 Years of Forest Inspired Nature Discovery in partnership with the U.S. Forest Service" 🌲🔍🌿🪵

FIND Outdoors is the Southeast’s leader in providing access to public lands. FIND inspires people to connect with nature through well-managed outdoor recreation sites, campgrounds, visitor centers, guided tours, and educational and outdoor opportunities for all ages and abilities. Through these exceptional recreational experiences and collaboration with other organizations like the U.S. Forest Service and the National Park Service, together they work towards ensuring these special spaces remain forever. 💚

My Contribution:

Strategic Outreach & Messaging Refresh — I reviewed FIND Outdoors’ existing digital presence and communications, then helped redefine the brand tone, messaging, and positioning to appeal to outdoor lovers, conservation-minded volunteers, and adventure-seeking audiences.
Content & Channel Mapping — I built a multi-platform content plan that aligned with their mission — balancing conservation values, community building, public-lands education, and outdoor lifestyle storytelling.
Social & Digital Campaign Execution — I produced and scheduled regular content: engaging posts, educational graphics, volunteer opportunity promos, gear-tips, trail stories, and call-outs for membership or involvement. I also managed community engagement: responding to comments/messages, fostering conversation, and encouraging user-generated content from volunteers and supporters.
Partnership & Outreach Coordination — I helped coordinate collaborations with public-lands agencies and eco-partners to amplify their voice and expand reach.
Analytics & Impact Tracking — I monitored performance across platforms to see what resonated (volunteer promos vs. lifestyle posts vs. educational content), adjusted strategy accordingly, and reported back with insights and recommendations.

The Impact 🌟

Throughout our collaboration (Jan 1, 2021-Dec 31, 2021), we accomplished:
Growth of a community — more people engaged, shared, and joined volunteer efforts around conservation and outdoor recreation.
Stronger brand voice — FIND Outdoors’ identity became clearer, more consistent, and more resonant.
Better engagement and visibility — content that reflects actual forest-land stewardship as well as outdoor lifestyle led to more shares, sign-ups, and meaningful connections with supporters.
Sustainable content cycle — established a robust content engine so FIND Outdoors stayed active, relevant, and mission-driven over the long term.

Why this case matters

This wasn’t about shallow “outdoor aesthetic” content or generic posts. It was about weaving purpose, community, and real land stewardship into every message. I helped amplify FIND Outdoors’ mission (boosting awareness, engagement, volunteer action, and long-term relationship-building) all while preserving the integrity of public lands and the values of the nonprofit.
