A luxury wedding and event planner in Akure, Nigeria: weddings, milestone birthdays, concerts, state occasions and celebrations of life. The brief was a website with the polish of a premium brand that the team could still update themselves.
What I built
28 pages: 13 main pages, 14 event stories and a custom page for broken links
Each story told from the planner's own captions, with vendors and photographers credited
203 photos and 18 event films, with a filterable gallery and a film library
A five step enquiry form that turns the answers into a ready to send WhatsApp message
A custom theme and 34 Elementor widgets, so every word, photo, film and link can be edited
The hard part
Two goals that usually pull apart. The WordPress site had to match the approved design exactly, yet still let the team change any word, photo or film themselves. Every section was rebuilt as its own Elementor widget, and all 28 pages were checked against the approved design with zero markup differences.
How it is built
A custom theme plus a plugin of 34 Elementor section widgets. Contact details live in one place in the Customizer and appear on every page, so a new phone number is a single edit.
Where it stands
The client approved the design, and the WordPress build is complete and tested page by page against it. Launch on the live domain is the next step.
