Working portfolio demonstration — fictional data, not commissioned client work.
Problem: matching totals can hide duplicate IDs, missing records and offsetting differences.
The tool matches register and ledger records using explicit normalized keys, calculates signed B−A differences in exact paise, flags duplicates and unreadable rows, and shows a bridge that explains the total gap. Tolerance is visible; within-tolerance differences remain reported.
My contribution: business rules, requirements and AI-assisted development with validation. The downloadable sample workbook uses inspectable COUNTIF/SUMIF formulas. The browser demo and workbook use synthetic data; no employer files are shown.
What it proves: a repeatable comparison, traceable exceptions and a clear handover. It is a demonstration, not an accounting audit or a production integration.
