Built with FLORA

BRIGHTSTUDIOS.SUPPLY: Made for Me. Not the Market.

Daniel G Bright

I’ve spent years building brands for other people sharpening their stories, tightening their positioning, and helping them look and sound like they have their act together.
Meanwhile, I’ve always wanted something for myself. Something that wasn’t about clients or deliverables just a way to wear my own taste, my own inside jokes, my own studio energy.
So when I got into the FLORA program, I used it as an excuse to finally do it. No brief, no KPI. Just:
“What would merch look like if I designed it for myself, not for marketing?”

The Idea

Not a “brand extension.” Not a “drop.” Just studio merch I’d actually wear.
Simple typography. Utility feel. A little self-referential, a little sarcastic.
Stuff that said, “I build things for a living and overthink everything I touch.”
I wanted to make merch that felt like workwear for creative people — something you could wear in the studio, not just for the photo.

The Process

Ideas and concepts through FLORA’s creative structure.
Documented the process casually — screenshots, WIPs, text snippets.
Treated it like a creative side quest, not a startup.

The Outcome

A small, weird, perfectly unnecessary merch line that feels like me.
A reminder that not everything creative has to “perform.”
A seed for what could become something more — or not. Either way, it exists.

Reflection

BRIGHTSTUDIOS.SUPPLY is basically a love letter to making things because you want to, not because they’ll scale.
Sometimes the most strategic move is to make something completely unstrategic — just to see what it unlocks

A small merch experiment born from curiosity, not commerce. BRIGHTSTUDIOS.SUPPLY started as a side project with the FLORA program.
