The brief for this project was to create a seamless, digital conference experience for a prominent marketing organization during the pandemic era. The project started early 2021 and the goal was to create a minimum viable product that would be worthy of further investment and design systematization. The core inspiration for the platform was to mimic train station line maps and signs (specifically the New York City Subway). Following the philosophy of clear text & iconography to direct passengers and the use of various colors of train lines and exchanges to support these delineations, we were able to create a customizable, white-label event space that both event delegates and event organizers were delighted to use.
Give this was an incredibly huge task to undertake, I was also given the freedom to create functions such as the Applause Meter (functional & visual) and contributing to back stage features like Push to Live, Event Branding, Media Galleries, etc.
After the MVP, there were minor initiatives to systematize the design for the platform. I was all given the opportunity to create the brand guidelines for the event holder the following year and apply them to the next iteration which included a 3D version of the homepage.
During my last 2 months with the team and after the completion of the Design System Project & UX Writing Project , my manager asked me to kick start the official design & writing system for the platform. I established the most basic units for the system as fast as I could and created templates for the next UI designer to iterate upon.
