Figma Landingpage Mockup & UX/UI research for an Online Course

Anders Ilves

Marketing Masters Landingpage

Project Overview

I was contracted to design and develop a complete digital presence for a premium online marketing course. This included building the brand identity from the ground up and translating it into a high-performing website. I began the process in Figma, creating user-focused wireframes and prototypes that applied the best practices of persuasive landing page design. Once the design direction was approved, I moved into development, ensuring a seamless, responsive experience across all devices.
The project combined visual branding, UX/UI research, responsive design, and web development into a cohesive and polished end product.

Client’s Goal

The client’s vision was to launch an authoritative online course that distilled over 30 years of marketing expertise. They wanted a landing page that not only looked professional but also persuaded visitors to enroll by communicating trust, expertise, and exclusivity. Additionally, the client needed the site to be fully mocked up in Figma prior to development, guaranteeing the final product would be benchmarked against industry standards for premium digital education platforms.
The end goal was a platform that could drive conversions while positioning the course as a top-tier learning experience.

Challenges

The project began without a brand foundation or a clear understanding of the target audience. The client had no existing visual identity, no defined messaging, and little insight into their ideal customer profile. This required a comprehensive discovery process to identify brand values, establish the tone of voice, and build a visual identity that resonated with the intended audience.
Another challenge was ensuring that the design balanced professional credibility with engaging, persuasive storytelling—essential for positioning a new course in a competitive education market.

Process

Discovery: Defined the client’s vision, goals, and course positioning.
Ideal Customer Research: Identified target audience profiles and motivations.
Market Research: Analyzed competitors and benchmarks to set industry standards.
Brand Design: Created the brand identity, tone of voice, and visual language.
Manual Wireframing: Sketched layouts to explore structure and user flow.
Figma Mockups: Designed high-fidelity prototypes applying UX/UI best practices.
Web Development: Built a responsive, polished website ready for launch.
Manual wire-framing of the website.
Manual wire-framing of the website.

Project Outcome

The final website delivered more than just a landing page—it established the course’s digital brand identity. I defined the brand’s tone, created a modern and trustworthy visual language, and aligned the design with the expectations of premium learners. The site combined persuasive UX/UI with clear calls to action, resulting in a landing page that is both engaging and conversion-driven.
Beyond its immediate function, the project provided the client with a strong brand foundation and a scalable digital platform that can be leveraged for future campaigns, new course offerings, and broader marketing initiatives.
