Home Organizers LI — Custom-Coded Site, End to End
A hand-coded site for a Long Island organizing studio — vanilla JS, GSAP, and a before/after slider built from scratch.
Role: Design, build, copy & SEO
Overview
Home Organizers help busy Long Island homeowners reclaim their space, and the whole promise is calm without judgment. I took the project end to end — design, copy, SEO and code — and hand-built it: no Webflow, no framework, no build step.
The challenge
That feeling of calm is hard to fake with a template. The choice to hand-build it meant every detail of the feel and the performance was mine to tune — and the SEO had to be deliberate, not an afterthought.
What I built
Hand-written HTML, CSS custom properties and vanilla JavaScript — no framework, self-hosted Sora and Overpass for speed, and GSAP + ScrollTrigger for the motion.
Services: three ways to lighten the load, before/after up front — a warm neutral palette and GSAP reveals that breathe.
Before / After: a reveal slider written from scratch in vanilla JS — drag to compare on mobile, dot-navigated carousel on desktop. No library.
The result: real project photography, framed by a system built for performance and SEO.
Contact runs on Netlify Forms; the SEO is deliberate down to the JSON-LD LocalBusiness schema.
Outcome
Proof I can take a brand from blank page to live — design, copy, code and SEO. No framework, no page builder: a fast static site I own end to end. Measured on the live build: Lighthouse SEO 100, best practices 100, accessibility 94.
