CV. Jalapari is where I work as an admin. In the last two years, our office has started adopting stone crusher products which are known as Breaker from China, and selling them to project contractors around South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.

Profitable business prospects are the advantages of selling this product. However, the drawback is the form and method of promotion which is still manual. The manual definition here is by taking a photo of the product and then posting it on the story or social media feed plus the advertising language typed in the caption section. 😒

Then one day my boss came and said "Hey I need someone who can be paid to make us a website!". Then I talked while exploring his needs. And here are some points that I noted:

Business Needs :

We need a web as a sales catalog

This website will be used by resellers when asked about the details of the breaker products being sold. So both the appearance and content are as general as possible.

Expanding marketing to customers who we cannot physically reach considering that this product is still marketed by word of mouth in South Sulawesi and Southeast Sulawesi.

After getting business goals from my boss, I started to find out about customer needs from the office admin who usually deals directly with customers, the head of the heavy equipment rental & buying and selling section, and the marketing in the office.

From them I summarize the customer needs in the User Persona as follows:

There are 2 potential customers who will access this product website, namely 1) Operators/mechanics and 2) Construction Entrepreneurs.

After doing mini testing with several people, the input that is enough to be considered is in the catalog section display.

Where this section is not really like a catalog that displays a large selection of items that can be viewed at the same time.

So I did an exploration of the catalog section display. Here is the results:

Pop Up effect on catalog items, the aim is to increase the chance of being "clickable" by website visitors.

So far, the slicing process has not been carried out because my boss has postponed the discussion about what content and products are fixed to be displayed on this website. As well as clarity regarding the easiest check-out order process flow for customers.
