Milly Money – Modern Remittance App/Web

Milly Money is a digital remittance platform that enables users to send money quickly and securely to bank accounts, mobile wallets, or via phone numbers. The project aimed to create a modern, trustworthy, and user-friendly platform that could support both mobile and web, while competing with leading remittance services in terms of usability and design.

Users in emerging markets faced key issues with existing remittance solutions:

Complexity: Transfers often required too many steps, leading to drop-offs.

Trust: Security concerns discouraged users from adopting digital solutions.

Accessibility: Interfaces weren’t optimized for mobile-first experiences or varying levels of digital literacy.

The challenge was to design a seamless, secure, and accessible experience that inspires trust while handling complex money transfer flows.

User Research & Insights – Conducted interviews with remittance users and analyzed competitor platforms to identify pain points.

User Flows & Journey Mapping – Simplified the transfer process into intuitive steps while ensuring transparency at every stage.

Design & Prototyping – Created wireframes and high-fidelity mockups in Figma, with focus on mobile-first design and consistency across platforms.

Testing & Iteration – Validated usability with real users to refine transaction history, onboarding, and security flows.
