Sempris Trading is a remote scrap metal trading company. Scrap Metal Trading is a form of commodity trading that has its own markets in the renewables sector. Scrap Metal is an old industry, and even though you'll find waste management companies all over social media, they are B2C and require a reach to more tech and social media-savvy customers. Scrap Metal traders are B2B, with their suppliers being scrap yards and buyers being metal processors. Both are full of companies and people with an older demographic of decision-makers. Needless to say, these companies are not on Instagram. However, upon research, I found that these companies are beginning to pop up on LinkedIn. The clients also use email and phone as primary forms of communication. So, we used a double-ended approach, using LinkedIn to bring more tech-savvy clients to us with an information-based market-authority approach. We also conducted an information, market-based email marketing campaign for current clients. We also used tools like Zoom Info and White Pages to get new clients onto our email lists and for a cold-calling campaign. This strategy was highly successful as within one year I personally increased net profit by 20%. Increased LinkedIn impressions by 1,818 %. Increased page visitors by 400%. Increased page followers by 1000%, of which 50% of the people were from business development/decision-maker profiles. Increased active client base by 20%.
