In an era where misinformation can wreak havoc in minutes, Blackbird.AI needed a powerful narrative detection and risk intelligence platform.
(Not) Actual collage of how misinformation is spreading.
The goal? Give companies the tools to identify harmful actors and narratives circling their brand, keywords, or areas of interest—essentially superpowers to act before chaos unfolds.
Getting My Hands Dirty: Research, Tokens, and Systems
To start, I dove into market research, analyzing competitors and understanding how others approached risk intelligence.
Very simple research on a surface to understand competitor's main selling points.
From there, I designed Blackbird's first basic design system in Figma, also developing first set of brandi guidelines to ensure consistency and scalability across a rapidly growing product.
It ain't much, but it's honest work to start with.
Visualizing the Chaos: Data, but Make It Make Sense
Complex problems demand clear solutions. I designed hundreds of screens, starting with wireframes to map out intuitive user flows.
Each decision prioritized clarity—transforming intricate data into digestible insights. Clickable prototypes followed, giving stakeholders and engineers a chance to interact, test, and refine the experience early on.
