Edtech: Connecting Learners to Real-World Projects

I designed Sqwads, a platform that connects learners to real-world projects and bridges the gap between classroom learning and practical experience. My role covered the full product design, from understanding user needs through to high-fidelity screens across the homepage, project pages, portfolio, admin, and settings.
About: Sqwads needed to support three distinct user types: learners, mentors, and administrators, within a single platform, without creating confusion or friction for any of them. Learners needed access to meaningful projects and visible progress tracking. Mentors needed dedicated tools to effectively guide and monitor their teams. Administrators required full oversight across users and projects. On top of all that, collaboration, fairness, and skill growth had to remain central to the experience, not just functional afterthoughts.
Task:
Conducting user research to map learner and admin mental models
Defining the product architecture across multiple core pages
Designing the homepage, project page, inventor section, portfolio page, admin platform, and settings page
Building a consistent, engaging visual system using a purple-accented design language
Ensuring the interface scaled cleanly across desktop and tablet screens
Iterating on layouts based on feedback and usability insights
