PR work spans the full media relations function: press release writing, media distribution, spokesperson preparation, inquiry response, sponsored content placement, and earned media coordination for non-profit and hospitality clients.
At Manitoba Possible, a Winnipeg-based disability services organization, I wrote and distributed press releases over a 30-month period securing 55+ media placements across Canadian outlets. Coverage spanned organizational milestones, program announcements, and a nationally distributed release tied to an Accessible Media Inc. documentary exploring the lives of Canadians with disabilities, distributed via CNW newswire.
At Pacific Sands Beach Resort in Tofino, BC, I managed media relations alongside the broader marketing function. Work included writing press releases and sponsored content placed with travel outlets including Global Heroes, preparing spokespeople and talking points, responding to media inquiries, and coordinating FAM trips in partnership with Tourism Tofino and Destination BC to earn travel media coverage for the resort and the region.
