Y-OUR Skincare Brand Identity Development

The brief Y-OUR makes personalized skincare regimens with natural ingredients. A short skin quiz finds each customer’s skin type and concerns, then builds a routine just for them. There was no brand yet: no name, no look, no voice. The job was to build one from nothing and make a personalized product feel personal at every touchpoint, from the quiz to the box on the doorstep.
The name Y-OUR puts the customer inside the brand name. It reads as “your” skincare, made with “our” formulation expertise. The break in the word is the brand idea: your skin and our science meet in the middle.
The identity A clean, confident wordmark with a deep green and a warm palette drawn from the ingredients themselves: citrus, cucumber, papaya, botanicals. A custom icon set for the brand’s promises (vegan, paraben free, cruelty free, clean, made in the USA) keeps the claims readable at a glance. The line “It just works for you” ties it all together.
The packaging Each product carries a large number, 1 to 4, so the routine explains itself: cleanse, serum, day cream, night cream. The subscription box opens to the full regimen in order, which turns the personalization story into something you can hold.
The website A homepage and mobile experience designed around the quiz as the front door. Ingredient-led photography, press logos and real reviews build trust before the first purchase, and the layout carries the same numbered system as the packaging.
Photography and social Art direction for product and lifestyle photography: bright, sunlit still lifes with real ingredients, and diverse faces in close, honest crops. An Instagram grid guide and story templates help the team keep the feed consistent after launch.
What happened next Y-OUR’s site now reports over 200,000 routines created and over 7,000 five-star product reviews. The brand has been featured in Allure, ELLE, InStyle, Essence and Refinery29.
