Rive - Animated Dog Translate Feature

Karina ✨

About

UNIQO Lab contacted me to animate another dog for one of their app's translation features.
The animation showcases a dog that "translates" spoken words by barking.
The dog has three states: idle, bark once, and bark twice.
Each state is designed to transition smoothly back to idle once the animation completes.
The design was provided by the client.

Process

I was given the flexibility to modify the design as needed.
To enhance the dog's lively personality, I made subtle adjustments—adding eye reflections and extending the tongue to create a more expressive tongue-out look.
Next, I created a rough draft in Adobe Illustrator, showing different poses for each state to establish a clear foundation for the animation.

Final Result

This is the final animation result!
Note: The buttons shown below were not part of the final deliverable—they are included here only to demonstrate the transition between states.

Thank you so much for checking out my work! 😊
