UNIQO Lab approached me to create Rive animations for Jolly Dog App, a game designed for pets. I eagerly accepted the opportunity, as the project seemed both exciting and fun! The app's character designs are so adorable!

The project was divided into two main parts:

Translation Feature

Toy Animations

Note: Any buttons shown below were not part of the final deliverable—they are included here only to demonstrate the transition between states.

Translation Feature

This section features a cat and a dog that "translate" spoken words by meowing or barking.

The cat has four states: 'idle' and three different 'meowing' states.

The dog has three states: 'idle,' 'bark once,' and 'bark twice.'

Each state is designed to transition smoothly back to the 'idle' state once the animation completes.

I was responsible for animating everything from scratch using the provided character design files.

Toy Animations

I was tasked with recreating 16 existing toy animations in the app using Rive, based on provided reference videos and design files.

Since the movement is coded within the app, my focus was on animating each toy in a fixed position. Each toy features two or three different states, all of which needed to transition seamlessly between one another.

Remarks: This project was particularly challenging, as I had to match the timing and speed as accurately as possible to the reference animations. However I successfully achieved the desired results—and I was thrilled to know that the client was happy with the final outcome! :D
