This type of email needs no introduction. Since it’s a time of the year when inboxes get saturated with endless promotions, the approach here was exclusivity. The deal was ONLY sent to current subscribers.
The body contained an automatically generated a one-time-use promo code that can’t be used by any other customer.
This email was followed with a final reminder email a few days later, containing a countdown timer.

WHY IT WORKED

✔ Simplicity
Keeping it short and sweet... and on-brand, as always.
✔ Personalized
The targeting in this message makes for a highly relevant email. The body copy is essentially calling out the audience segment.
✔ Versatile
Since only the body text is what makes this message super relevant to the recipients, this made for an easily replicable campaign. Only the body text was changed to match other segments. This made overall execution very efficient.
*Note that while this may also be done in one email send using show/hide logic, I don’t recommended as it will blur data for reporting.
