During the pandemic I became interested in fashion sustainability and was able to bring my skills from past experiences to lead user engagement at Storey. What’s so exciting about working at a startup is getting the chance to work on a range of projects simultaneously. My approach to the user experience intersected both quantitative and qualitative thinking. Each day I worked to understand our users in order to better improve their experience on our app.

Between engaging directly with users to reviewing user feedback to always thinking like a user, I was able to directly impact the development roadmap with recommended features, bug fixes, and content to strengthen our users’ relationship to our core mission. Many of my tasks were rooted in communication efforts across marketing emails, push notifications, app store copy, in-app DMs, partnership outreach, PRDs, SOPs, and beyond.

Throughout the week I switched gears between writing, analyzing new user reports, liaising with dev, and brainstorming new app features, among any other tasks under the user engagement umbrella. In addition, I enjoyed co-hosting a biweekly Clubhouse chat about fashion, tech, and sustainability.

In addition, I launched and executed our student ambassador program which was conducted through Geneva.
