Seasoned software engineer, Cameron Chardukian, reached out to me with the hopes and vision of productizing his skills into a Product/MVP Development service known as SwiftLaunch.
He already had a landing page for SwiftLaunch, but it was made with a very basic boilerplate template. He had the development skills to build a better site, but not the design skills.
Challenge + Goal
With the previous site being made from a boilerplate template, the primary goal + challenge was to create a design that would position SwiftLaunch as a modern, relevant authority in the space of product + MVP development.
Specifically a website design that was sleek, professional, and screams “cutting-edge” in terms of technological processes and development.
Design Process
Step 1: Market Research + Brand Words
In this case, market research involved researching competitors who also had a similar software/product/MVP development service.
I asked Cameron what mood/feelings he wanted the brand + website to evoke. We came to the words of Comfort, Openness, Refinement, Trust, and Elegant.
Step 2: Rough Concepts + Wireframes
I went straight into designing wireframes for the hero and other sections on the website.
Every 24-48 hours, Cameron was given an update of the design concepts + ideations to give him opportunities for feedback along the way.
Step 3: Finalized + Polished Design
After collecting feedback from Cameron throughout each deliverable, a few changes + tweaks were made to meet his ideal vision for SwiftLaunch
Solutions
Project Timeline Section: Designed a section that would show visitors the timeline + week-by-week overview of SwiftLaunch’s development process.
Founder Section: Created a section that would build social proof, trust, and visual relatability.
Overall Design Theme: Went with a color scheme + design theme that would give off vibes of trustworthiness and professionalism.
Results + Conclusion
Cameron was beyond satisfied with the final design of the SwiftLaunch website and immediately implemented the design into a fully-developed website, which can be viewed here.
