Moonlet is an AI-driven bedtime story app ) that delivers a delightful and personalised experience for children and parents alike. Through user research, iterative prototyping, and feedback-driven development, I crafted an intuitive interface that allows users to customise their bedtime adventures, including selecting themes, personalising characters so your little one is always the adventurer, and choosing magical items. Our goal was to create an engaging and interactive platform that fosters creativity, imagination, and relaxation during bedtime routines, ultimately providing a unique storytelling experience tailored to each child's preferences. For this MVP my task was to provide UXR, Competitor research, initial concepts, user flows and designs for this MVP project. I've included this in my portfolio to showcase my process when it comes to developing work such as this. Once i had an understanding of what we're wanting to build/solve/question i'll start laying out basic sketches to help define the bare bones of the UI. Adding notation as i go for areas that i feel require more discovery around best practice, data and even design trends. This is usually worked on in parallel as i'm researching and collecting references and information to assist me as i go.
Throughout the wireframing and prototyping process, my goal was to create an intuitive and engaging experience that resonated with the target audience. By iterating quickly, gathering feedback, and staying true to the vision, I was able to develop a product that we felt would exceed expectations and bring joy and ease to families during bedtime routines.
Creative wise, I drew inspiration from the whimsy and wonder of children's picture books, I envisioned a brand that evoked a sense of warmth, comfort, and imagination. Through extensive research and exploration, I crafted a brand identity that resonated with our target audience of parents and young children.
Central to our branding was the use of gentle, illustrative picture book style graphics. These enchanting visuals captured the magic of storytelling and invited users into a world of imagination and adventure. To streamline the branding process, I leveraged tools like Midjourney, a platform designed to facilitate early branding development. Midjourney provided valuable insights and resources, allowing us to define our brand values, establish a visual identity, and create brand assets with ease. From mood boards to style guides, Midjourney helped us maintain consistency and coherence throughout the branding journey.
Through attention to detail and a deep understanding of our audience, O crafted a brand that was both distinctive and resonant. The gentle, illustrative graphics became the hallmark of our app, fostering a sense of connection and delight among users. I can't wait to see Moonlet go to market and hopefully emerge as a trusted companion in the nightly ritual of bedtime storytelling, enriching the lives of families one story at a time.
