MPN Family Foundation - Brand Creation & Identity Design
The MPN Family Foundation was born during my time at MPN Capital Markets. Inspired by the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting charities and giving back, my boss challenged me to create a foundation within the organization — even before a name or structure existed. With only a vision and a purpose, I developed the foundation’s identity from the ground up, shaping its name, branding, and operational concept.

Objective & Challenge The challenge was both exciting and open‑ended: create a complete foundation concept, brand identity, and communication system without any initial guidelines. This included choosing colors, designing the logo, building templates, creating landing pages, and producing all supporting materials. The only direction I received was, “I want a foundation under our umbrella. Can you come up with something?” and that gave me all the wings I needed to inspire me.

My Role Graphic Designer responsible for naming, branding, visual identity development, and the creation of all foundational assets.
Approach & Process I began by gathering information and clarifying the foundation’s purpose and audience. From there, I researched similar organizations, drafted the overall concept, and sketched early logo ideas and graphic elements. I connected with other foundations to understand best practices and built internal processes to support the project. Once the identity direction was established, I created templates, landing pages, letterheads, and all branded materials needed for launch.

Tools & Skills Used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and PowerPoint for branding, layout design, and presentation materials.
Outcome & Impact The MPN Family Foundation became a meaningful extension of the company’s values and community involvement. The brand identity provided a clear, professional, and heartfelt visual presence that aligned with the foundation’s mission. It also strengthened the company’s internal culture and external reputation.
Takeaways & Insights This project taught me how to be resourceful, strategic, and organized while balancing multiple responsibilities. Since it was developed alongside my full‑time role, I learned to manage my time effectively and guide a project from concept to completion with independence and creativity.
