RedirHub wanted to improve its Website Migrations page, but the goal was bigger than a visual redesign.
The real question was: how can the page better explain the migration use case, attract the right users, and create a clearer path toward signup and product adoption?
I owned the experiment from research through prototype, production implementation and launch.
The Challenge
The existing page mixed SEO content, product features and broad migration messaging.
It also had a few problems:
unclear positioning for who the page was really for
overlap with RedirHub’s general 301 redirect page
generic CTAs
weak explanation of the migration workflow
product claims that needed better validation
pricing and capacity were not easy to understand
the UI felt more like a standard SaaS landing page than a focused migration experience
The goal was to make the page more useful, more trustworthy and easier to understand without losing the commercial intent.
Research & Strategy
Before designing, I reviewed:
product positioning and internal documentation
customer and usage context
migration-related product behavior
pricing and plan limits
existing landing pages
SEO/search intent
competing redirect and migration tools
the current conversion journey
The strongest direction was to focus the page on hostname-changing migrations, where teams need to keep old URLs working after moving to a new domain or retiring old infrastructure.
I explored multiple page and hero directions before choosing the final version.
The final hero focused on the outcome instead of technical jargon:
“Your site moves. Your visitors follow.”
The page was then rebuilt around a visual migration story instead of a long list of features.
Key UX improvements included:
a clear old-domain → RedirHub → new-site visual
a step-by-step migration workflow
visual explanation of same-path vs changed-URL redirects
a realistic CSV import/review experience
sticky scroll interactions for the migration review process
clearer DNS and HTTPS progression
Core and Pro capacity comparison
stronger pricing and sales paths
simplified FAQ experience
responsive behavior across desktop, tablet and mobile
Product Accuracy
One important part of the work was making sure the page did not just look good.
I checked the copy and product behavior against RedirHub’s internal documentation, pricing rules and current product flows.
During the process, I removed or corrected claims that were not fully supported and aligned the UI with the real RedirHub importer and dashboard terminology.
This included:
current import workflow
managed-link capacity
DNS setup wording
plan pricing
current dashboard labels
migration review states
FAQ content
public-facing product claims
Production Implementation
After the prototype was approved, I moved the concept into the production marketing repo.
The final implementation included:
dedicated production route
9 localized versions
Sanity-powered hero, metadata, FAQ and footer content
responsive GSAP interactions
live pricing data
FAQ structured data
canonical and hreflang support
SEO metadata
CTA tracking through RedirHub’s existing GA4 setup
accessibility and responsive QA
regression testing against other marketing pages
I also worked with the RedirHub team to align the migration importer mockup with the actual product experience before launch.
Measurement
The experiment was built to be measurable after launch.
CTA tracking was added for:
hero pricing CTA
workflow CTA
Core plan
Pro plan
large migration sales path
pricing example
review-section CTA
footer CTA
The next step is to use real traffic and customer behavior to evaluate whether the new experience improves qualified signups, activation and downstream product usage.
Outcome
The experiment was approved and shipped to production.
The client specifically liked that I approached the problem as a migration workflow and growth experiment instead of simply redesigning the existing page.
The project also led to an ongoing collaboration focused on owning future growth experiments from research and strategy through execution, launch and measurement.
