The brief

A B2B accounts-payable product needs a homepage that explains a dull, high-stakes workflow, capture, approve, pay, to a finance lead in under a minute, and looks trustworthy enough to book a demo. I wrote the brief myself and built it the way I would for a fintech client.

Constraints I set

Light, not another dark SaaS page. Every number and screen on the page is designed for it, no stock dashboards. The hero had to move without a video file, the page had to pass 95 plus on PageSpeed, and the feature tabs had to work on touch as well as mouse.

Key decisions

Animated dashboard hero. A Framer code component where KPIs count up, the chart grows and invoices flip to Approved, so the product demonstrates itself in the first five seconds. Feature tabs. Capture, Approve and Pay auto-advance with a progress bar and each swaps its own mockup, pausing when you hover. Proof before features. Four outcome stats sit directly under the hero, because finance buyers scan for numbers first. Security as its own dark section. SOC 2, role-based approvals and a full audit trail, stated plainly where procurement will look for them.

Build

Framer with two custom React code components, DashboardHero and FeatureTabs, a reusable colour and text style system so every section stays consistent, Motion for React for the counters and tab transitions, and desktop, tablet and phone breakpoints with a simplified mobile navbar. Result

Google PageSpeed Insights, desktop, 99 Performance, 94 Accessibility, 100 Best Practices, 100 SEO. The hero animation runs with no video file, the tabs work on touch, and every section is editable in Framer without opening a code component.
