Caliber Funds 10,000th VA Purchase Loan

IRVING, TX — Caliber Home Loans, Inc. recently announced the funding of their 10,000th VA Purchase Loan. Caliber Loan Consultant Lisa Kelly, based in Sevierville, Tennessee, described herself as “thrilled beyond words” when she learned she had served Caliber’s 10,000th VA borrower.

Caliber Home Loans launched their veteran and military support initiatives in 2016. Since then, the Division – led by Bryan Bergjans, National Director of Military & Veteran Lending, as well as a veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom – has launched an innovative series of lending and community support initiatives. These initiatives include the introduction of the website CaliberMilitaryLending.com and internal training for the Caliber Military & Veteran Lending Professional (CMVLP) designation. To date, over 700 Caliber team members have received the CMVLP designation and currently specialize in serving military veterans and active service personnel.

Other Caliber initiatives include supporting Operation Gratitude, a nonprofit organization that delivers supplies and gifts to active military and veterans; Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization that supports active-duty military families in need; and Back-to-School Brigade 2017, that delivers needed school items to local military families. All Caliber staff are invited to participate in Operation Homefront & Operation Gratitude programs by donating supplies, including making paracord bracelets.

Caliber’s military support efforts have been recognized by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense program. In November 2016 Caliber received the ESGR’s Above and Beyond award for the company’s supportive workplace culture created to benefit military families. More recently, Caliber became a Military Friendly® Brand as chosen by Victory Media, creators of the G.I. Jobs® magazine and website GIJobs.com.
