Slack Q&A Bot from Google Sheets | Make + Claude AI

“How many groups do we have in Nashville, April 9-11, 2027?”
Simple question. except the answer lived in a master sheet with 55+ fields per trip, spread across columns A to BH. to answer it, someone had to find the right row, scroll to the right column, and hope they read it correctly. every time. for every small question
so I developed a Slack bot that does that for them. you type the question in plain English. that’s it
Behind it is a Make scenario with 6 modules. a webhook catches the question and the Slack channel. Claude turns the question into proper search terms. Make searches the sheet for matching trips, a text aggregator joins those rows into readable text, and Claude answers the original question using only those rows. the answer lands back in the same Slack channel
That “only those rows” part is the whole point. Claude isn’t answering from memory, it’s reading the records it was handed. so every answer traces back to your sheet, not to guesswork
The Nashville question? it returns the matching groups with their dates and destination. no scrolling, no column hunting
Make runs the scenario, Claude (Anthropic) handles the question and the answer, Google Sheets is the data source, Slack is the front door. chatbot development and API integration hold it together.
Works the same for any big spreadsheet or database, Slack or Teams. your team asks, the data answers

Slack bot that turns a 55+ field Google Sheet into plain-English Q&A. Make + Claude search the rows and answer only from your data.
