This is a project from 2016 during my uni days! I made these title and credits motion graphics for a group project. The concept focused on how we give up pieces of our individuality in the online sphere, creating a second, digital version of ourselves.

Much like putting another coin in the machine to play another round of that arcade game, we do the same with who we are. Hence the title Insert Individuality Here. Yep, some pretty deep stuff right there! I was so serious in university 😆

Even with this project turning 9 years old this year, it is by far my favourite mograph project I've ever done.

Each shot is longer than in the final edit because much like video, you should always record more than you need and edit it down later!

I pulled inspiration from the nostalgia of my childhood, particularly with the handheld tech at the time. I derived the characteristics of the bouncy letters and overall visual identity from the Gameboy Advance start-up animation ↓
