One of the most specific briefs we've ever received.

Nolan came to us with four non-negotiable requirements: multicolor, negative space, depth, and a tree as the hero element. All at once. For a web design agency.

Most clients say "make it feel professional." Nolan knew exactly what he wanted, and that specificity made the work genuinely interesting.

Each requirement sounds manageable in isolation. The hard part is making all four coexist in a single mark, one that holds up at favicon size, looks great on a dark background, and still has something to say at large display sizes.

We landed on a layered pine tree with a stacked horizontal base. The overlapping planes give you depth and negative space simultaneously. The color palette (a deep forest green and a muted sage) works together without either tone fighting for attention. Nothing about it is accidental.

Designing for other designers is a different sport. They see everything. There's nowhere to hide.
