This dashboard was designed for Taskmate, a project management platform that helps teams organize, monitor, and optimize their workflows. The objective was to create a clean and data-driven interface where users can track project performance, prioritize tasks, and measure progress all in one centralized hub.
The Problem
Project management tools often face the challenge of overwhelming users with excessive data, poorly structured task lists, and lack of visual clarity. Team leads struggle to track deadlines effectively, while team members find it difficult to prioritize tasks and monitor real-time progress. These inefficiencies can lead to miscommunication, missed deadlines, and decreased productivity.
The Solution
The design solves these issues by focusing on clarity, hierarchy, and visualization. Key metrics are presented through dynamic graphs and progress charts, while tasks are organized into intuitive categories like To-do, In Progress, and Completed. This makes it easy for teams to quickly understand the project’s health and identify what needs attention.
Recognition Over Recall
Users should not have to remember information from one part of the interface to another. This means designs should minimize memory load by making objects, actions, and options visible visually. (src: nngroup.com)
