Welcome to my personal brand as a visual identity designer and brand strategist. As many designers can attest to, branding yourself is a particularly difficult task as you take on the role of both client and designer.

I decided to stick to my name as the brand moniker simply because I wanted to truly put myself out there in the most authentic way possible. Before, I was admittedly scared of doing so, thus I hid behind the "Sage Blaq" brand which allowed me to kinda detach from the brand itself and get away with not showing up in a vulnerable way.

So one could say the transition from Sage Blaq to Tinashe represents a call to action to myself to be more authentic and express myself freely without inhibitions. As I help others align with their individuality I also aim to operate from a place of truth.
