Product Ownership Inside a Global Enterprise Program

Requirements discovery to release scope on ZEISS's B2B ordering platform — across multiple service teams.
Context
Client: ZEISS Vision Care
Role: Interim Product Owner
Timeline: Apr 2026 – present
Industry: Enterprise B2B Digital Commerce (optics / MedTech)
The challenge
Smart Order Flow, ZEISS's B2B lens ordering platform, is built by multiple service teams inside a large-scale, multi-release enterprise program. Business units know what they need — but those needs have to become release-scoped, buildable requirements that several teams can execute against without stepping on each other.
What I did
Requirements discovery & definition — elicit business needs from business units and translate them into release-scoped demands and user stories across the frontend and multiple backend services
Prioritization across releases — own the backlog and align scope per release across several service teams within a structured multi-release delivery roadmap
Enterprise stakeholder management — steer requirements between business units, engineering and program leadership
The result
Every team works against a shared roadmap of what gets built when, and why — clear requirements and release planning across a multi-team, multi-release enterprise program.
Stack & methods: Azure DevOps, Kanban, Requirements Engineering
