A Full Brand Strategy & Design Project For A Matcha Cafe Named Matcha Moves.
Matcha Moves is a matcha brand with its own cute café. The owner wanted a brand that represents her personality while also resonating with girls like her. She offers a variety of matcha drinks, cakes, and desserts that girls are excited to try.
While she focuses on hospitality, I’m focused on building her brand to make it girly, fun, bold, and vibrant.
Goal: Attract girls who want to have a good time and enjoy their matcha, thereby increasing brand awareness.
Super-goal: Stand out on a busy street and become the go-to spot for girls to enjoy matcha and create shareable videos, generating online buzz.

Strategy Design Process
Matcha Moves aims to be a girly brand with bold, wild moves. Typically, matcha brands incorporate green into their color palette, but we decided that wasn’t bold enough.
Green was eliminated early in the process.
I conducted research on the types of people who shop in that busy street and how to attract the girlies online to try Matcha Moves’ sweets and drinks🥤
After understanding how they think, act, and behave, it became easy to choose a color palette and fonts that appeal to them.
