Journie Rewards is a loyalty program owned by Parkland Fuel Corporation based in Edmonton, Canada. The program aims to incentivize customers to purchase fuel and other merchandise from their gas stations, convenience stores, and car washes across North America. The company offers members a variety of rewards, including discounts on fuel, food and beverage, car wash, and merchandise purchases.

As a Social Media and Emerging Tech Specialist, my primary responsibility was to invigorate Journie Rewards' brand across social media platforms by leveraging social media and emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality to promote their brand. One of the most successful initiatives I worked on was creating a social media filter that showcased the spin wheel. This filter was a simple yet creative way to engage users, as they could rotate the wheel randomly with just a touch of their finger. This unique filter garnered 120,000 impressions and 4,000 shares in just one month, helping promote the brand to a younger audience who were more likely to use the platform.

In summary, my role at Journie Rewards involved leveraging social media and emerging technologies to promote the brand and drive engagement among users. Through creative initiatives such as social media filters and AR games, as well as influencer marketing campaigns, I was able to increase brand awareness and attract new members to the loyalty program.
