PROJECT OVERVIEW

About the Client
Safulpay is a payments platform in Sierra Leone with faster performance than its local competitors. Despite the technical advantage, the UI and UX fell below international and local standards, driving user complaints and limiting growth potential.
Goal
Redesign the entire Safulpay platform to match international fintech design standards — communicating security, trust, and ease of use from the first screen — so the product's genuine technical quality became visible to users and investors.
Challenges
In fintech, design is a direct proxy for trust. Users making decisions about their money use visual quality as a signal of whether a product is safe. Safulpay's infrastructure was strong. The design was not communicating that. International competitors like Wave and Orange Money were setting a visual standard that Safulpay was being compared against and losing. Over 400 screens needed to be redesigned without compromising quality.
Solution
Blueprint redesigned the entire platform with three principles in order: user security, user experience, user need. Every design decision that touched a transaction, balance, or account state was evaluated against the security principle first. The design system established consistent patterns across every screen, every state, and every flow. 400+ screens delivered in two weeks.
