How we unified five platforms into one Kajabi engine - and built the funnels that turned viral traffic into consistent revenue.
$18,987 - Revenue in 90 Days 31,240+ - New Opt-Ins 5 → 1 - Platforms Consolidated

PART ONE The Visionary Behind Embracing Joy

Melissa Divaris Thompson is a licensed psychotherapist, group practice owner, and the founder of Embracing Joy Consulting. She's built her career helping couples navigate their most important relationships.
But her impact didn't stop at the therapy room. When she started sharing her expertise on TikTok and Instagram, something clicked.
Her content struck a nerve. Hundreds of thousands of people resonated with her message. Seemingly overnight, she went from a local practitioner to a viral creator with a growing audience that wanted more from her.
Her customers are people in relationships looking for clarity, tools, and transformation. They find her through social media, download her freebies, and enroll in her courses.
Some book one-on-one sessions. Others just want the self-paced resources. Either way, they trust Melissa because she speaks to the real, messy, human side of love - and she does it with warmth, honesty, and zero fluff.
That's the brand she's built. And it's exactly why her audience grew so fast.
But behind the scenes? Things weren't as smooth as they looked.
Melissa was running her business across five separate platforms: WordPress for her website, Mailchimp for email, Stan Store for digital products, Bookley for appointment scheduling, and Zoom for webinars.
Each one had its own login, its own quirks, and its own limitations. Nothing talked to each other. And as her audience grew, the cracks got louder.

PART TWO The Breaking Point

Here's the thing about going viral: it's a gift and a problem at the same time. Melissa's email list exploded from 500 to over 44,000 contacts. That growth was incredible. But it also triggered a $2,000/month Mailchimp bill just to store those contacts. Not to send. Just to house them. That was the breaking point.
She had two courses - a $47 program and a $167 program - plus a $17 PDF upsell and a free lead magnet. Half of it was uploaded to Kajabi. The other half was floating between Stan Store and her hard drive.
Nothing was connected. Her intake form for one-on-one clients ran through WordPress and Bookley with state-specific filters that couldn't break without costing her real revenue.
She was generating 45,000+ store visits a month. The traffic was there. But the backend wasn't built to catch it.
Melissa knew she needed to consolidate everything into Kajabi. But she's a psychotherapist seeing clients all day.
She didn't have the time to learn the platform, and she didn't want to touch anything that might break her existing systems. On top of that, she was launching a new business - Embracing Joy Consulting - separate from her therapy practice.
That meant a new website, new funnels, and a January webinar on the horizon with no backend to support it.
She wasn't just looking for someone to push buttons in Kajabi. She needed a partner who could see the full picture, protect what was already working, and build a system that matched the momentum she'd created.
That's why she reached out to me.
"You got the traffic covered. I'll build the engine." - Ax, MUHEN

PART THREE The S.C.A.L.E. Process in Action

We kicked things off the way I always do - with strategy, not design. My S.C.A.L.E. process starts with Scan, where we map out the offer, audience, and funnel logic before anything gets built.
During our discovery call, I walked through every piece of Melissa's ecosystem: her products, her traffic sources, her intake process, her audience segments, and her revenue goals.
I needed to understand what was working, what was broken, and what was at risk.
The intake form was the most delicate piece. Her client acquisition depended on a WordPress-Bookley-Mailchimp flow with state-specific filters. If we broke that, she'd lose real clients.
So I mapped out a workaround that eliminated WordPress from the equation entirely.
Instead of routing form data through three platforms, we built the form inside Kajabi and automated the notification directly to her intake coordinator's email. Same result. Fewer moving parts. Zero risk.
From there, we moved into Craft - where copy, structure, and visuals come together.
I wrote the sales page copy for both courses, the email sequences for each funnel, and the landing pages for the lead magnet, contact form, and webinar.
Every word was grounded in Melissa's voice and her audience's language. No generic templates. No AI slop. Real messaging built to convert.
Then came Assemble. This is where most funnel builders stop at "just designs." We don't.
I built everything inside Kajabi: pages, automations, email sequences, course modules, checkout flows, upsell logic, tagging systems, and the webinar registration funnel.
Both courses were fully migrated - modules, lessons, PDFs, and workbooks. I also designed custom thumbnails for every module and laid out the full course platform.
The Launch phase meant testing every link, every automation trigger, every email, and every redirect before anything went live. We didn't launch until the system was airtight.
And finally, with Evaluate, we set up tracking so Melissa could see exactly what was performing - and where to optimize next.

PART FOUR What We Built

By the end of the project, Melissa had a complete, unified digital engine running inside Kajabi. No more logging into five apps. No more guessing which platform holds which data.
Everything - her courses, her funnels, her website, her email marketing, her intake process - lives in one place now.
Here's what I delivered:
Lead Magnet Funnel - A landing page, thank you page, and a 4-email nurture sequence designed to move new subscribers from "who is this?" to "I trust her" before they ever see a sales pitch. This was critical because 44,000+ contacts had signed up for a one-time freebie. Without a proper nurture sequence, most of them would have unsubscribed the moment they got a newsletter.
Contact Form Funnel - A landing page with separate flows for qualified and non-qualified prospects. If someone lives in a state where Melissa's team is licensed, they get a thank you page and a booking link. If not, they get redirected to the courses. Her intake coordinator also gets an automated email notification with the prospect's details. This replaced the old WordPress-Bookley-Mailchimp chain—and it's faster, cleaner, and more reliable.
Automated Course Funnel #1 - For the $47 course. Sales page, checkout page, upsell page for the $17 PDF, separate thank you pages for buyers and non-buyers, and a confirmation email. The upsell alone added a revenue stream that didn't exist before.
Automated Course Funnel #2 - For the $167 course. Sales page, checkout page, thank you page, and confirmation email. Simpler structure, but built with the same conversion principles.
Webinar Funnel - Registration page, thank you page, a 5-email sequence (confirmation, reminders, and follow-ups), a replay page, and a confirmation email. Built to support Melissa's January webinar for therapists who want to grow on TikTok - a niche audience she marketed to separately from her main list.
One-Page Consulting Website - A clean, brand-aligned Kajabi website for Embracing Joy Consulting. Built to grow her email list, showcase her courses, and establish credibility for future media partnerships and brand collaborations.
Full Course Migration - Both courses migrated into Kajabi with all modules, lessons, PDFs, and workbooks. Custom thumbnail designs for every module. Platform design and layout that matches her brand.
SOPs for Every System - Standard Operating Procedures so Melissa or any team member can manage the funnels, troubleshoot issues, and run the platform independently. My philosophy is simple: if you don't need me anymore, I did my job right.

PART FIVE The Impact

In 90 days, Melissa's Kajabi platform generated $18,987 in gross revenue - and it's still climbing. The analytics tell the story: consistent daily sales, with the revenue graph trending upward week after week.
She didn't just hit her $10K–$15K/month goal. She exceeded it.
The funnels also generated 31,240+ new opt-ins in the same period. Her lead magnet - the Attachment Style Quiz - drove 88.45% of all form submissions. The Conflict Decoder freebie pulled in another 11%.
These aren't vanity metrics. These are real people entering a system that nurtures them, builds trust, and moves them toward a purchase - on autopilot.
But the biggest impact isn't in the revenue or the leads. It's in what Melissa got back: her time.
Before this project, she was duct-taping five platforms together, drowning her intake coordinator in unqualified leads, and spending hours on tech she didn't understand.
Now? Her funnels sell courses while she sees clients. Her intake form filters prospects automatically.
Her email sequences nurture leads without her lifting a finger. She went from overwhelmed to operating - with a system that matches the scale of her audience.
She also saved thousands per month by eliminating her $2,000+ Mailchimp bill and consolidating everything into Kajabi.
That's not just revenue gained. That's expenses cut. The net impact on her business is even bigger than the top-line number.
Melissa came to us with a viral audience and a broken backend. She left with a unified platform, automated funnels, and a business that finally runs like the engine it was always meant to be.
She brought the traffic. I built the engine. And now it's running on autopilot.
