This project was to cleanup QuickBooks and streamline the clients accounting process.
We had to help the client:
Organize their vendors by looking for duplicates and merging them as needed
Organize their subcontractors by finding and requesting W9's and certificates of insurance
Reconcile past months bank statements
Make sure all transactions for past years were categorized correctly so the client could have proper reporting to file taxes.
Change their QuickBooks settings to reflect Cash instead of Accrual reporting.
Get detailed reports from their clients such as check stubs or payment remittance so that the accounts receivables could be updated and he client could see what was owed to them.
