Introduction

When Michael from "Toronto's Finest," a well-known social media influencer, reached out to us wanting to streamline his operations, we saw a fantastic opportunity to craft a custom solution. This would allow him to concentrate on what he excels at - highlighting the best of Toronto’s food scene through the eyes of those who know it best: chefs, restauranteurs, and insiders.

Why

Michael had an idea stuck in his head: he wanted to bring all his scattered systems and processes into one easy-to-use, central spot. The messy mix of spreadsheets, emails, and scattered notes was slowing him down and holding back his growth. We needed to find a solution that would unify his operations, boost visibility, and make his workflow a breeze.

Understanding Needs

The journey began with friendly, in-depth conversations to understand his needs. We explored his current workflows, identifying pain points and opportunities for improvement. By focusing on his main challenges and setting priorities, we ensured the solution would address his biggest concerns.
After carefully evaluating several platforms, we chose Notion, a versatile workspace that offered the flexibility and customization needed to create a solution just for him.

Building the Notion Hub

Core Databases & Relationships

The heart of our solution was a network of interconnected databases within Notion. We set up dedicated databases for content planning, brand collaborations, social media analytics, financial tracking, and more. By linking these databases, we created a smooth flow of information, giving Michael a complete view of his business whenever he needed it.

Dashboard & Views

A dynamic dashboard served as the central command centre, providing Michael with a visual overview of his most important metrics and tasks. We also created various filtered views within each database, enabling him to focus on specific aspects of his business as needed.

Calendars & Notifications

Integrating calendars and automated notifications further streamlined his workflow. Content calendars kept him on track, while timely reminders ensured that no deadlines or opportunities were missed.

Iteration & Future

The development of Toronto's Finest's Notion workspace was an iterative process. We regularly reviewed and refined the setup based on his feedback, making adjustments to improve functionality and usability. The system we built not only addressed his current needs but also laid the groundwork for future growth. As Michael continues to expand his brand, the Notion workspace can evolve with him, offering scalability and flexibility.
