WallState - Real Estate investment platform for as little as $1.

The project was a real estate investment platform co-founded by three friends who aimed to make investing in real estate more accessible by creating a platform that allowed people to invest in a diversified portfolio of tokenized properties with just $1 and five minutes of their time.

Using React and TailwindCSS for the frontend and FastAPI for the backend, the team worked together to create a user-friendly platform that offered liquidity and the opportunity to earn money from rent and gains when sold.

I'm excited to share a project I co-founded with two friends that aimed to make investing in real estate more accessible to everyone.

As you might know, getting into real estate investing can be a real headache - it often requires a large amount of capital, a lengthy loan process, and can leave your funds tied up in an illiquid asset. So, we set out to change that by creating a platform that made it easy for people to invest in a diversified portfolio of tokenized properties, with just $1 and five minutes of their time.

Not only does this approach make investing in real estate more accessible, but it also offers the benefit of liquidity and the opportunity to earn money from rent and gains when sold. By removing the barriers to entry, we're helping people achieve their investment goals without all the hassle.

Our platform was built using React and TailwindCSS for the frontend, and FastAPI for the backend. As one of the co-founders, I was responsible for the product and coding the frontend. This meant I kept in constant contact with our users through qualitative interviews, tracked the metrics of our business, and worked to improve our UI/UX.

I'm proud to say that our efforts paid off - we managed to raise over $220K from investors, grew to over $450K in Assets Under Management (AUM), and gained more than 600 active users.

Unfortunately, despite our progress, we've made the difficult decision to close the platform. We struggled to gain traction and couldn't find a clear path to profitability. While this is disappointing news, I'm grateful for the experience and proud of what we were able to achieve in a short amount of time.

• Platform - created using React and TailwindCSS. Connects to a backend created using FastAPI. Shows user's balance, their transactions and a historic graph of their returns. Also has access to show all of the properties in the portfolio, a referral program, Canny integration to gather feedback and a simulator to estimate earnings.
