Insipired by EverPress, this project was a marketplace for artists, communities and charities to sell their designs on t-shirts and prints. Through an integration with Pipedream to automate tasks and Printful to handle fulfillment, this website made it easy for artists to sell without any upfront costs and the hassle of fulfilling orders.
From start to finish, I took care of everything, including branding, validating the idea with users, creating an MVP, and making it grow. I even handled all of our orders to make sure everything ran smoothly.
The Spark ✨
I was inspired by Everpress to make it easier for artists to sell their designs without having to create an e-commerce or having to fulfill orders. I quickly built an MVP using Shopify and a Google Form to allow artists to upload their designs.
As a growth hack, I included one key feature: designs have a shelf-life of 30 days before being removed from the marketplace. For every sale they make, an extra day is added to their shelf-life. This was done to create a sense of scarcity on buyers and artists and keep designs fresh. To do it, I had to code some custom HTML to have a timer on Shopify of how long a design had left.
I grew the product to have a couple of designs from different artists and had $40 USD in sales.
Unfortunately, I lost interest since growth marketing is not really my best attribute. I posted it on Tiny Acquisitions to let someone else have a go at making it grow.
