A Step-by-Step Journey to Building a Restaurant and a Brand

Work Process: From Food Trailer to Final Concept

I chose a high-traffic location and then focused on creating a minimalist exterior design. The concept revolved around the use of polished and burnt fir wood to highlight its texture against a black background. Starting from the original food trailer, I moved to Figma to create design concepts. After refining the ideas, I translated the final concept into reality, using minimalist elements with polished and burnt fir wood against a black background to highlight the texture and create a modern, cohesive space.

Promotional Materials

I created wooden keychains and coaster stands for cups and bottles, which were given away as small prizes on Instagram and TikTok. This helped increase brand awareness for Burger Hunt while engaging with the online community, but also physical discounting cards.

Social Media Strategy

The next step was to aggressively enter Instagram and TikTok, launching the marketing strategy. I began posting consistently to build brand awareness and engage with the audience on both platforms.
I began posting on Instagram and TikTok even before the official opening to create early brand awareness for Burger Hunt. By consistently sharing content, I engaged with the audience and generated excitement around the brand.

Enhancing Engagement with Animated Content

I continued monitoring website and social media traffic and noticed that animations and videos generated higher engagement. Based on this insight, I shifted focus to creating animated posts on Instagram to further boost interaction and brand visibility.

Packaging and Branding materials

During this time, I also worked on the packaging, staff clothing, and exterior posters displaying the menu, offers, and hours. I was responsible for designing and printing these materials to ensure the branding was consistent across all touchpoints.

Building Brand Awareness and Engaging 
Customers Pre-Opening

By the time the restaurant opened, I had already built strong brand awareness and reach on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. I continued posting daily and completed the website, which was in line with the brand’s style. To further engage users, I added a gamification feature: a roulette that allowed users to spin for prizes like discounts, burgers, and coupons in exchange for their email. This strategy not only attracted more customers but also helped build a user database for targeted promotions and newsletters.
