🧾 Gas Monkey Garage – Facebook Ads Case Study

🔹 Client

Gas Monkey Garage — a high-profile eCommerce apparel brand with 3M+ social followers, running a sweepstakes campaign tied to a high-ticket giveaway.

🎯 Goal

Scale Meta (Facebook + Instagram) ads profitably during a sweepstakes promotion — aiming for at least 3x ROAS with $100K+/month in ad spend.

🚧 Challenge

Multiple agencies failed to achieve even 2x ROAS.
Meta flagged ads as “gambling-related” due to sweepstakes language.
Ad account faced frequent disapprovals, limiting scalability.

🧠 Solution

Rebuilt all campaigns using a full-funnel structure
Leveraged custom audiences: 180-day engagers, CRM lists, and car enthusiast interest stacks
Used CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) to auto-scale winning ad sets
Manually appealed Meta disapprovals daily, reworded ads for compliance
Prioritized creative testing with multiple hooks & variants

📈 Results

🚀 14.08x ROAS during launch window
✅ 7.05x ROAS even after sweepstakes ads were flagged
💰 Scaled to over $3,500/day profitably
🔁 Maintained consistent results during Meta ad approval issues

👤 My Role

Led strategy, targeting, and ad creative
Managed campaign setup, testing, scaling, and compliance
Reported weekly performance + optimization roadmap to the brand team

📌 Takeaway

With the right full-funnel strategy, audience segmentation, and hands-on Meta ad management — even difficult verticals like sweepstakes promotions can scale profitably at 5–6 figure budgets.
