Working with enterprise financial clients on large teams
From 2021-2023, I contracted for Accenture Interactive
While working with Accenture, I worked with two of North America's largest financial institutions.
Coming from a startup background, I learned how to work with larger teams as well as established UX tools and systems.
Helping millions of people bank easier
It was my pleasure to have a hand in helping banking clients access and manage their banking in a simpler way. Most people use online banking, so it was imperative for me to practice inclusive and human-centered design to make my work accessible to everyone.
I advocated strongly for the users' need for secure and simple online banking while balancing the business and brand goals. I was able to achieve this balance by involving the business stakeholders in the design process and demonstrating the value of good user-focused design.
Setting my peers up for success
While working in large teams as an agency contactor, I documented specific information such as onboarding processes and important resources. I was able to help onboard and mentor my peers, fostering relationships with the stakeholders that served to be important for myself, my peers, and the agency.
Championing accessibility
Designing products that would affect millions of diverse users every day, it was vital that I championed accessibility from the very beginning of the design process. I advocated for creating flows that were screen reader-friendly, reducing cognitive load, and not having patterns be color-dependent.
Collaborating with stakeholders
With many engaged stakeholders, I learned the importance of not designing in a silo. I found that working on discovery work with involved departments and stakeholders helped foster a more collaborative and inclusive environment from the beginning of the project.

Working with large-scale design systems
With both banking clients I worked with, large-scale corporate design systems were in place. This was a very exciting opportunity for me, especially coming from the startup space where I was the sole designer and manager of the design system. By using these design libraries I was able to keep designs within my projects consistent with other branches and ongoing projects. I was also able to submit any new design patterns to the design system to keep a cohesive look and feel throughout the entire digital product, as well as keeping usability and accessibility standards up to date.
