Trellis needed to pivot and pivot fast

When the pandemic canceled in-person fundraising events across the country, Trellis's number one goal was to ensure our charity clients that they would be able to continue fundraising.
Our goal was to get an updated version of our marketing site up as soon as possible, with resources about fundraising as COVID was evolving, as well as announcing our upcoming live streaming feature.
The website design was handed off and an independent WordPress developer, Rudi van Heerden of Catalyst Marketing Cooperative, and has been collaboratively iterated upon and maintained by Catalyst and myself since.

I've had the pleasure of working with Dillon on some fast-moving projects. Dillon's talents shine at the intersection of the user's needs and the business' goals. He is a highly conscientious designer and plays an integral role in the project's success.

Wireframes

I first created low-fidelity wireframes of the basic website layout to get approval from the sales and marketing team. Once the wireframes were approved I passed them along to our WordPress contractor so he could begin working on the architecture in tandem.

Resources for our Partners

Working with our marketing team and with our charity partners, I designed a set of posters as well as an in-depth resource guide on how to run events safely during COVID.

Landing Page Design

After testing out usability issues and confirming the content and copy, I began putting together the design of the page. The site was designed responsively, with a focus on making resources readily available to our charity partners.
Along with the web design, I updated our brand colors to have a more trustworthy and informational tone.

Re-assessing a year into the pandemic

The changing event landscape

Keeping in touch with our charity partners, we learned that they would begin running events through a hybrid model or in person again. The new business goal that the sales team had outlined was to position ourselves as a hybrid fundraising all-in-one platform.
The big push for the site update was the upcoming golf tournament and gala season, a big driver of fundraiser revenue. Another goal that I outlined was to create a set of icons and an identity for our feature suite.

Building an Adaptable SaaS Marketing Site

We landed on creating a site that showcased our feature suite and also drove conversions through our lead funnels, working closely with the sales team. Since publishing, the site has gone through A/B testing, user testing, and had many additional pages and updated flows designed by myself, see some screenshots and visit the site below.
