Innovation Applications of Commerical Radar Module (NUS Dissertation - A)

As part of this project, the innovative application of a scale-down radar module to the automobile was invented. The radar used in this study is the DF990, which in conjunction with Python and C++ can calculate the distance and velocity of moving objects.
Circuit Configuration

As a result, the circuit is designed to fit compactly within the automotive while producing the best results. The setup allows the radar to function at its optimal level, suitable for the following prototype.
Initial Design
Initial Design
An automobile prototype model was built to check the communication between the software and hardware of the automobile. It allowed for a better understanding of the movement and detention of the vehicle and the sensors.
Prototype II - Back View
Prototype II - Back View
With the final design, a bigger base was developed for the radar and electrical motor, allowing the vehicle to detect obstacles in view sight and control speed accordingly.
Prototype II - Side View
Prototype II - Side View
A prototype is being developed that is fully functional where when in motion, the radar will pick up signals from the surrounding, detecting danger in plain sight. The detection of obstacles will determine the speed and the movement when the electrical skateboard is in motion.
Recent years have seen an increase in accidents due to automobiles driving on pavement. This idea is meant to prevent future accidents from happening.
