Disko Leads, founded by Johary, is a startup specializing in lead generation through LinkedIn data extraction and enrichment, helping businesses gain actionable insights from LinkedIn interactions. Disko Leads sought a platform to allow users to generate high-value leads by pulling LinkedIn profile data from individuals who liked or commented on specific posts.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Core Challenges

Johary needed a reliable LinkedIn data extraction tool that would simplify lead generation for users. The app had to support user-friendly filtering of LinkedIn interactions, profile enrichment with external data, and organized exports to CSV. Additionally, it required a seamless credit and payment system, along with an admin interface for efficient user and data management.

Key Business Risks

Without a robust, feature-rich tool, Disko Leads risked a weak market entry, which could hinder their ability to attract early adopters and secure revenue. A fast-deployment, high-quality solution was essential to deliver an attractive, user-friendly experience that would foster adoption and retention.

Approach

I worked closely with Johary to design and develop their application from the ground up. My approach focused on creating a seamless user experience for LinkedIn data extraction, combining a Chrome extension and a web app. Within three weeks, I developed a fully functional platform using Bubble.io for the web application and JavaScript for the Chrome extension.

Core Solution Components

Chrome Extension: Built a Chrome extension with an extraction button on each LinkedIn post, which redirected users to Disko Leads’ web app for easy access.
Web App Features:
Data Extraction and Enrichment: Users could filter based on engagement type (e.g., likes/comments), industry, job title, and company size, generating CSV files with LinkedIn profile data. The app further enriched profiles through RapidAPI for additional insights.
Credit and Payment System: The app deducted credits for each CSV generation, integrated with Stripe for smooth payment and credit purchases.
Admin Dashboard: Enabled Johary to manage users and oversee CSV exports.
Integrations: The app included SendGrid for automated email communication and Google Sheets for data visualization, enhancing overall user experience.

IMPLEMENTATION

Development and Timeline

In a three-week period, I designed, built, and tested the platform to ensure a smooth experience across devices. I prioritized an intuitive interface for CSV generation, credit management, and filtering options.

The web app was built with Bubble.io for rapid development, offering real-time user management and integrated payments. The Chrome extension, built with JavaScript, handled LinkedIn data extraction. APIs streamlined profile enrichment via RapidAPI, and additional integrations included Stripe, SendGrid, and Google Sheets for payment processing, email automation, and data visualization.

Disko Leads launched successfully, quickly gaining traction and reaching $3,000 MRR soon after launch. The platform enabled users to extract valuable lead data efficiently, supporting strong initial retention and steady recurring revenue.
