🚚Project Overview: Hub Group Website Relaunch in Framer (https://www.hubgroup.com)

As the lead designer and developer on the Hub Group project in January 2024, my mission was to elevate their online presence from a legacy site into a modern, high-performance digital hub. The goal was to fully leverage the capabilities of Framer to build a cohesive, interactive experience that accurately reflected Hub Group's evolution into a technology-driven supply chain leader. The redesign was focused on showcasing their full spectrum of services, from intermodal to logistics management, with an emphasis on clarity and user-friendly navigation.

Strategy & Vision

Our strategy was to create a site that served as both a powerful marketing tool and a trusted resource for enterprise clients. We wanted to move beyond the traditional "logistics company" image and project a brand that was modern, innovative, and focused on partnership. The core brand message, “The Way Ahead,” became our guiding principle. The site's design needed to feel authoritative and intelligent, appealing directly to busy C-suite executives and supply chain managers who need immediate solutions and tangible results.

What I Built

The entire website was built and developed directly in Framer, allowing for a seamless transition from design to production. Key features include: Interactive Storytelling: The homepage was structured as a narrative, using Framer's built-in scroll-driven animations and dynamic sections to walk users through Hub Group's unique value proposition. Simplified Service Architecture: We restructured the content to make Hub Group's diverse service offerings digestible and easy to navigate. Each service page was designed as a modular component in Framer, ensuring consistency and making future updates effortless. Responsive & Fluid Design: Using Framer's robust responsive design tools, we crafted a layout that provides a flawless experience on desktop, tablet, and mobile, ensuring accessibility for all users regardless of their device. Conversion-Focused Layouts: We integrated clear, frictionless calls-to-action and contact forms throughout the site to encourage trial signups and business inquiries.

Tech & Collaboration

The project's success was a direct result of a streamlined design-to-development workflow. I used Figma in the initial stages for high-fidelity wireframing and prototyping, which allowed for quick, collaborative feedback from the Hub Group team. This ensured the visual identity and user flows were finalized early on. We then moved to Framer for the complete design and build. Additionally, for certain backend functionalities like custom form integrations and database connections not natively supported by Framer at the time, we explored using Webflow as a secondary option for specific microsites, but ultimately decided to keep the entire experience on Framer to maintain a single, unified codebase. This approach enabled us to iterate quickly and launch the new site on schedule, aligning perfectly with the client's strategic goals.
